Buckeye1647545503
I need the front sump gto stuff for the corolla build. I do have truck stuff if anyone may want or want to trade by chance.
Buckeye1647545503
I know it's rarer than any other but anyone got one???
cdk 4219
No they are hard to find, especially on a budget. $300 to $350. You could go get a $230 speed master one, and spend another $80 to 100 on a remote filter housing. Been there done that, more than once.
cdk 4219
Looks like I was wrong, $450 for a GTO pan and tray and pickup on EBay. convert the rear steer on the car to a front rack and pinion, and modify the truck pan and pickup. I remember someone saying something about the possibility that the rear steer may be a problem, especially for a drag car with a front sump pan? cdk 4219
$385 new for the pan, then pickup and tray, may be cheaper to buy new. Or you can buy the EBay front sump pan for $230 and I will give you a remote filter housing for free.
Buckeye1647545503
Ya, I'm considering the eBay pan but was really hoping CR peeps would have one in a corner a little cheaper, I hate spending as much on an oil pans as I did for the entire drivetrain, harness, and ecu lol
cdk 4219
probably best to get over the hate of spending money on this journey. I have completed over 20 of these swaps. A realistic budget, or a fat wallet, and sometimes both is what is needed.
Buckeye1647545503
I spend it just fine, I just think 300 to keep the oil in the car is dumb
Cordell
Welcome to LS engines. Nothing is cheap.
Geeesammy
JZ rear sump setups are typically $700 or so. I'd love to spend $300 on a setup.
pontiacfreak142
Yea its looking like ebay is your best bet, ive asked everyone i know with no luck
cdk 4219
Welcome to LS engines. Nothing is cheap. $300 here $75 there, $400 there, it adds up rather quickly. One of the things about the eBay $230 front sump pan that I just used is that the pickup is shit, and you will more than likely have an extra $100 in fittings for the remote filter. By looking at the baffle and cabinet hinge for the "trap" door, I can't see it being too good for any sub 1.7 or so 60' times without oil starvation. The Gto pan has much abetter baffle system, and built in filter. But hey, silly me, what do I know?
