Future car purchase advice

If you're not actively searching for this car with cash in hand - these threads are worthless.

So much can happen in 2 years. We all know that.

Lets talk about this in 18months.

BRB starting a thread about buying a lambo in the next 4 years.

The thing is, I am actively searching. I would definitely like to hold out for another year, possibly two. But in all honesty, if I come across the right deal today, I am going to go out and get it.

The whole purpose of this thread was to see what other people would suggest and to see if anyone knew of any substantial problems with the three vehicles that I was already looking into.

So far there have been a couple suggestions that, earlier I would not have considered, such as an Audi s4 or s6 or the Chevy SS

New Fusion Sport.

I love the idea of the car but $40k+ for a Fusion is paint-lickingly insane. They'll be available for $25k within a year.

Even completely optioned you're not hitting $40k for the Fusion Sport. EDIT: apparently you can option it above $40k. But agreed on the $25k within a year.

Byers Ford has a CPO SHO for sub $32K right now with under 5k miles

The s7's are pretty sweet, but it looks like it only seats four, I forgot to mention I have three small children. thanks for the suggestion though.

well hey, in 2 years your kids may be big enough to fit up front. i have three kids and my 8 1/2 year olds fit up front

my vote goes for the ctsv

And if I didnt snow so much up here-I would have just waited for a V. You can find them with around 100k miles in the mid 20's. No better bang for the buck!

That being said I have a 535 X Drive and a freaking love it. $200 and a few clicks-and its fast enough to make me happy. Put 3 cars from 40 on a Subaru that just ran 12.6@109 that same day :)

I looked at them last year but the prices were crazy like this one. I understand they may get it but IMO it's dated in looks and technology for that kind of money.

I am kind of on the fence right now, do I want the ability to do endless smokey burn outs, pretend to be a cast member of Tokyo drift, and have less power train loss or do I want the ability to drive the car in the winter too.

I have a big truck for winter driving, but it would be nice to drive a luxury car all year round.
