He has rust starting on rocker panels and side skirts and has been looking for an individual or a shop to cut and weld steel. He says he's called quite a few places and can't find anyone to do the work. Body shops used to do this routinely, although I've heard many times, in passing, guys joke that "you can't weld rust." I get that. Can anyone recommend a business or an individual who does this sort of work and would be willing to take a look at what he needs? I've already told him that I doubt that anyone would guarantee rust repairs. He only needs the steel repaired .... he plans painting at another time. Thanks!
