Richard Cranium
I had mine done up at Pickups Plus. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

smokin5s
do you guys remember the price? Columbus Car Audio did my last 2 but they were viper smart starts and were some serious cash.. I'm thinking more basic this time as I don't really use the smart phone function as much as I thought I would.
Gergwheel1647545492
I paid around $400, maybe $350? but i had to buy the bypass unit for my 05 pilot and that was a factor in the cost as well. the starter unit itself was like $150 i think. smokin5s
surprisingly that's not much cheaper than I paid for the viper smart start.. I think mine was around 500 including bypass, etc... This is for a 2008 Honda Civic, I don't think there's much as far as security needed for any type of bypass. Gergwheel1647545492
Honestly don't quote me on those numbers, i might be way off. Just call and get a quote, anyone that answers the phone at the Lewis center location is super helpful and knowledgeable, probably same for Hilliard, just never dealt with them. Mojoe
Viper systems are going to be in that price range. Other systems, I just couldn't find the reliability to justify the lower cost. We did a Viper through Pickups plus on my wife's car. The cost sucks, the connivance and quality is justifiable.
Rocky31186
Columbus car audio has a basic system thats under 200. We put that on my wifes honda pilot. I have the viper smart start / alarm on my tundra and it was around 800 from CCA..
smokin5s
CCA basic kit 299... Jayson just called back. I have a call into pickups plus as well.
iwashmycar
Looks like Best Buy has a one-button basic setup for like 170 installed but who knows what modules you might need...also I see how getting the lock/unlock integrated would be worthwhile. Two fobs is pretty dumb.
Grudes
If its a car you really care about I would get a OE remote starter installed is possible. Alot of the aftermarket set-ups involve cutting and splicing of wires which sometimes ends up causing random electrical problems.
smokin5s
ya, it's my car... it will be parked in the driveway as the sho stays in the garage... I just don't want to scrape windows in the morning lol
Rocky31186
299? Geez.. ours was under 200 for keyless entry with remote start and bypass module

Kyle at PPC on 23 north of Meijer. Treated me right on two different occasions with the Viper Smart Start Package. They wired up the Audi so nicely it looks better than factory and works flawlessly. They do all different levels / types though, you don't have to go with Smart Start.
Dr. Apex
I never had any issues with Columbus Car Audio, always felt like I got a fair deal from them.
gillbot
I got one for my minivan from eBay. Came with a harness and was simply plug and play for only 119. Been on about a year so far, no issues.
smokin5s
being a hybrid, I don't think there's going to be a plug and play kit out there :-(
