Lauren Posted July 17, 2018 Report Share Posted July 17, 2018 I want to start off roading and need a tow rig for the move so I found this clean P38 range a couple hours away. Its a 50th anniversary edition. It had a busted rear diff. So towed it home and swapped in a new diff. Changed all fluids in the truck. Picked up a set of 19's from a L322 range rover and swapped those on for street use. It has been converted to coil springs already. I went ahead and ordered terrafirma shocks and steering damper. Also ordered the red and clear tail from a late model and clear corners for the front. Lastly ordered suede to wrap the headliner and a,b,c pillars. It runs wonderfully. Had a guy show up paid me $5000 for the gold one this morning. The grey one is in Cleveland and I backed out of the deal for it. So I turned my $750 to $5000 and did zero work to it. Can just explore, take the kiddos ect. Can be fun for a weekend outing. maybe 4-5 hours total. Waiting on steering damper and full exhaust next. Modifying this car is so damn cheap. Full set of terrafirma shocks $175 shipped. New headers $200. New cam $200. New exhaust $200. Super capable off road and not as many electrical issues.
