Cordell
So since it seems normal to post your car or beater truck here I wanted to share as well. Last month I had a customer come into work with this truck who decided he'd rather replace it then fix it, and since I have been looking for the right deal on a truck I jumped on it. Bought it from the original owner, even gave me both original keys and window sticker. It's a 2006 Silverado 1500 4WD Z71, nicely optioned, even has the high output 5.3 L33 aluminum block engine, and in overall good shape. It has some rust in the rockers like most of these do, and fixing that will be a project by next spring (something I've always wanted to try, bodywork). I replaced the brake and fuel lines with stainless (what it originally came in for), fixed the A/C, gas door, and a handful of other simple things this guy didn't know how to do. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1000&pictureid=9205 Unlike Clay as soon as it was roadworthy I waxed it, and it came back to life pretty good with a little compounding. It doesn't look like it has 210k miles on it does it?

99StockGT
Other than the typical rocker rot those are excellent trucks you can get some serious use/mileage out of. Good pickup on the pickup!

zeitgeist57
Well done, Scott! Many more happy miles... I have more love for newer Ford trucks over GM, but GMT400/GMT800 trucks are a really good used platform to own, maintain and drive.

2 Sweet
Very nice! That's a great looking truck
Cordell
Thanks guys. Thinking about stuffing a 6.0 in it and building the L33 into a 5.7 for the Camaro. Freshening the drivetrain in this truck and it really would last a really long time.
POS VETT
It would look even better with HRE wheels ... Does it come with RPO G80?
Cordell
It would look even better with HRE wheels ... Does it come with RPO G80? I don't think it has posi, if it does then it doesn't work anymore. It's has a very quiet drivetrain, but if that changes it'll come apart and get one.
