dustinsn3485
Alright guys, it's been a long time coming but finally happened. Ever since I finished school (MMI) I've wanted to do something with bikes. I worked at HNW in Columbus for about 6 months, but due to the drive and wages I quit that job. I found a boring job locally, but it's not at all bike related...So after some discussions with my father we have set-up a motorcycle/PWC/ATV repair shop. I've officially had the business for about 3 months and have slowly been acquiring some suppliers for parts. The business is called 20 South First LLC. It's located in Tipp City. Phone # 937 308 3043. E-mail 20SF@swohio.twcbc.comAs far as repair goes, there really isn't much we can't do. Anything from oil changes to tire changes to complete engine rebuilds. I have equipment for milling, a manual lathe, 2 welders, a wide variety of hand tools, a No-Mar tire machine, gravity balancer, a 2 ton press, some sheet metal equipment, plus other odds and ends. Finally some pictures of the shop.... NinjaNick
Congratulations and I hope you get tons of business over time. Tipp City being in no-mans land sucks for it though Dustin. Maybe as years go by you can open a shop in D-town too. I fell in love with your shop when I first walked in it last year. It's much better than any other bike mechanics place. MattKatz
Whats Funny...Your shop looks 10X more professional than Middletown Cycle.....And they are a dealer.....Figure that one out.

dustinsn3485
Man....I see plenty of room for a Dyno...It's been discussed...I've had some dyno training. Actually I've got a Dynojet certificate...With an actual dyno and a little bit of time I could do it.Give it time
NinjaNick
Middletown Cycle would have that motor in the last picture laying on the ground or outside in the grass.

MAybe they'd have the nuts and bolts all mixed together in a Circle K Polar Pop cup?

dustinsn3485
very cool. Congrats. Do you sell accessories also?I wish you best. Just remember, customer service sells more than anything Whats the address btw?Accessories are not something we really plan to push right now. You can go to Iron Pony or even Comp. and beat any price I'd ever be able to get on accessories right now.Service is going to be my big push. I got tired, even before going to school, of the shops that never seem to do what they promise they will. I just want to do the work and do it right the first time. There is not a single shop in they entire Dayton region that I would trust to work on my bike. I've been around to quite a few shops in the area and can't find anyone decent. That's where I saw my opportunity to have a shop. Because I know I can do good work and be trusted to do that by the customer. Suppliers for small business are actually somewhat difficult to acquire...The address is ingenious.... It's 20 s first street, tipp city, oh 45371

That's a long story, but the building has been with my family since back in the 80's. When Tipp Machine and Tool in Tipp City was bought out, Steve came to my father and asked if he could rent half the building for his business...He's since grown and has a larger shop in Dayton. Before he was there we had a race shop in that building for sprint car racing. Now it's a business for motorcyle repair.
