brent1976
Mitch suggested I do this in another thread so here goes. I bought a really nice 95 T100 SR5 5 speed a while ago to drive to work and to drive out in the mountains so I didn't tear up our cars on the rough roads. The interior is perfect and I haven't found any rust anywhere on the truck at all working on it. I replaced the timing belt/water pump/oil pump, replaced all the intake gaskets and cleaned the intake/throttle body, and replaced all the suspension bushings and steering parts. It's pretty much a new truck except for the paint that I don't really care about because I'm taking it off roading too. We've been going off roading pretty much every weekend, and sometimes on Wednesdays since I've been taking them off because of the corona slowness at work. Wednesday we went to Argentine pass and McLellan mountain. There are 2 ways up, a pretty easy way that a regular SUV can do(it's just bumpy), and a really rough way. We did the really rough way. There were a couple times when I didn't know if we would make it but both mine and my buddies tundra surprised the hell out of me. Both are completely stock trucks, so I figured without a locker one of us wouldn't make it through something but we both did fine. Anyways, here are some pics of where we ended up going. Here's my truck hanging out. It doesn't articulate very well. Saw this guy begging along the road. Tossed him a piece of ham. He was less afraid of me than I was of him maybe having rabies. The Woldorf mine The trails are everywhere in some places. A vid of some snow melt runoff that was pretty cool for mid July. http://i.imgur.com/aTYOceu.mp4 Some vids of some of the spots my buddy caught. http://i.imgur.com/PjfnvQQ.mp4 http://i.imgur.com/Z7gZtWQ.mp4 http://i.imgur.com/jgHlcgt.mp4 http://i.imgur.com/SXGeXBK.mp4 Edited July 17, 2020 by brent1976 Internet illiterate

spankis
Looks awesome, and looks very similar to the trails around Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton. Dunno how close you were to there, but the trip I took to Ouray and rented a jeep was one of the best trips ever. Slightly terrifying (got lost well after dark at 11000 feet) but survived so totally worth it lol. I'll have to dig up my pics. Jealous you live out there! brent1976
We drove down this trail for about a half a mile then came up on the snow in the next video and had to back all the way out.It was pretty nail biting backing up on the shelf road. http://i.imgur.com/nOLaiAt.mp4 http://i.imgur.com/k5xITr1.mp4 We see elk, moose, big horn sheep, mountain goats every once in a while. We went camping a couple weekends ago way about 2 miles off the road in a spot that was amazing. Me next to a giant rock close to our camp site. The view from about 30' from the back of our tents. I will come back and update this every once in a while when we do a really good one. Edited July 17, 2020 by brent1976

We went skiing at Crested Butte for christmas last year which isn't too far away. We're renting a house for us and my wifes family for her 40th birthday in early august close to the black canyon of the gunnison for a couple days. This was Wednesday. On the weekends there’s more but I haven’t seen it crazy busy anywhere yet.

brent1976
The wife and I were hiking once and a huge male mountain goat just walked past us. He got to be about 30’ away before either one of us saw him. He walked a little bit ahead of us for a 1/4 mile before he disappeared. Otis Nice
Awesome. My wife has always wanted to go back to CO. They use to go every year when she was a kid. Got a buddy who owns some land out there too. I need to make that trip happen. Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
BuckeyeROC
Gorgeous pics! Colorado is the most beautiful place I've ever been.
brent1976
My wife takes way too many pictures to show everything here. We’ve been out about 10 times this year. It would be way more but the snow doesn’t melt off enough to open trails until early to mid July so we’re just getting started. We found this on Saturday at around 10k feet. Here’s my wife being an asshole. Lol

cruizin01
Wow. Thanks for sharing. A friend of mine recently moved to Montana and he shares similar pictures. They love it there. We are going to Oregon this year so maybe next year we'll plan a trip somewhere in Colorado and do some trail riding.
brent1976
15 front 12 rear. It rides so much nicer aired down I bought a portable air compressor to keep under the back seat. It really helps in the rough stuff when I watch my buddies truck bite the big rocks and climb right over. I’ll do it every time from now on. spankis
Anybody planning a trip, I've gone 3 times and spent 2 weeks splitting time between Pikes Peak, Rocky Mtn National Park, and Ouray/Telluride (San Juan Mtns). I always wish I had more time in Ouray.
brent1976
Pikes peak is all construction on top right now. They’re making one big giant tourist stop on the top. It looks to me like they’re ruining it. If I’m driving to a 14er I’d pick Mount Evans.
