turn signal relay?

Does your bike have parking lights? Is the wiring harness plugged in correctly?

If you unplug the turn signal relay, the lights will go out, if they don't, it's plugged into the parking light connection?

edit: you're going to be looking at the turn signal relay anyway. Plug the relay connections a few times and see if it starts blinking again. Maybe just dirty connections.

i haven't gotten around to pulling the relay off yet to check it yet, but here's something to chew on: i'm running normal incandescent bulbs in the back but LEDs in the front i may not be pulling enough wattage to make the relay work properly, because the relay is probably the old fashion mechanical type that depends on the proper wattage being pulled through it to actually function.

:plus1: i'd say that's likely the problem, You can hook a couple of resistors in to balance the load as a quick fix.

+1 on the resistors, but I wouldn't go to autozone for them. I suggest radio shack or some other kind of electronics store. I paid somewhere around $1.50 for 4 resistors at radio shack and autozone I think was selling them for like $4.00 a for two....

i have a similar problem with my 600rr. mine came with led turn signals up front and integrated tail light signals (led as well) in the back. and now the rears don't work at all and the fronts blink super fast. I'm not actually sure they ever worked, but I noticed it after i had unplugged (and replugged) all the lights for midohio.

actually, now that i think about it, i didn't plug in the little bulb for the light between the headlamps... but i can't see how that would be affect the turn signals. I'll try to get that plugged back in and see if that helps, though.

so here's what i did, i went to advanced auto and bought an electric turn signal relay, not a thermal one, unplugged the old one, after spending five minutes trying to get to it, and then plugged in the new one. problem solved, at least until the wire from the left rear signal got messed up.
