oldschoolsdime92
ive got 160/60/17s. i wonder if the 180/55/17 would work for now?
Goldie
It would likely fit, but you could have clearance issues with the sprockets, swingarm, etc.

Might be able to get a decent deal on a set too... what kind of deal can you get on the battleaxes? supposidly they last longer with the dual compound. the m3s are really really soft. mxmantater746
hey oldschool don't use the 180 on that bike. it's the rim width that is issue on that bike. a 170 will work fine but the width of the 180 will raise the center height of the tire and make it look more like a donut. dustinsn3485
what kind of deal can you get on the battleaxes? supposidly they last longer with the dual compound. the m3s are really really soft.I'll let you know tomorrow. It'll be in the $135 range for a 160/60/17 And of curiousity which Battleax?BT021BT016BT006BT020Do you want a front too? Size?If you bring the wheel off the bike I'll mount and balance for $20. Add $3 if you don't want your old tire. Edited June 18, 2009 by dustinsn3485
oldschoolsdime92
its the 16. I have gotten less than 3k out of my metz and im almost to the wear line. I dont know how much longer they are good after you hit that line. what do you guys think? What tires do you guys suggest? I want something that wears decent but also grips nicley for spirited riding.
oldschoolsdime92
also what are your guys oppinions on running mixed tires? for example the m3 on the front and the bridgestone on the back? the front is a 120/17/
mxmantater746
i believe the correct front tire size should be a 120/60x17

oldschoolsdime92
dementedf3 gave me a brand new m1 that had a nail in it. I was debating putting a patch plug in. Whats the oppinions on this?
dustinsn3485
How fast do you go? How hard to you corner? Popular opinion is no, but plugs work well...I put a plug in a tire once and rode it until I have the green to buy a new one. I just didn't ride as hard or go as fast.
