COLUMBUS, Ohio – It has been more than a month since 19-year-old suspect Dominick Conley allegedly shot a Zanesville police officer and his police dog.

Technicians are still caring for Bosco at the OSU Veterinary Hospital but said he has made dramatic improvements.

Bosco was up and walking around Wednesday with help from his technicians.

Therapists used a number of techniques to get Bosco on his feet again.

Bosco was shot through the neck on Aug. 22 and originally was paralyzed.

Veterinarians said Bosco should continue to improve during the next 11 months.

He should be able to leave the hospital soon.
