2004 yamaha r6 with clean and clear title, 18,xxx miles. Powdercoated wheels, with fresh tires this season, two brothers carbon fiber exhaust chopped short. Flush mount front turn signals, hot bodies undertail with integrated taillight, pig spotter mirrors. Also had timing chain, tensioner and spark plugs replaced earlier this season. Oil changed regularly. Runs, rides and shifts great. No problems whatsoever. Mileage will vary as i still ride it.

why did the timing chain need to be replaced?

04 is arguably the best year r6 ever made and still today.

a few weeks after i purchased the bike i was riding it and it started making a loud noise. Took it over to ask and they said a bolt had come loss and was rattling around in the case. As a preventive measure they recomennded chainging the chain and tensioner. i didnt wanna take any chances so i had them do it. This was over 4 months ago.

Any problems since this. Bring it to OR bike night. I will check it out.

(Wondering what "pig spotter" mirrors are)

As far as I know it's just the smallest and least obtrusive (visually) mirror you can legally have on your bike. The pig probably means officer. As my stock mirrors already don't show me much more than my elbows I never switched to this type. They do look cool though.

They're super small mirrors like pig ears. For lightweight and "aerodynamics"

Example of Hayabusa with "pig spotters"

Vs. factory mirrors

They make them for all other bikes too... just really tucked in, slim, mirrors = pig spotters.

Gotcha, I thought maybe they were special mirrors that helped you see cops farther way or something lol
