Sorry, health care isn't going to illegal aliens. Oh, what was that you say? Obama is trying to get illegals documented and paying taxes and then they'll get health care! Guess what, then they aren't illegal! Then they are just as American as you and I; thats what America is 'bout! so suck it

I love you, W. Rillo.

That is all.

it always comes back to the iraq war... and if universal healthcare is good enough for iraq, then its good enough for US? Let's adopt sharia law while we're at it too!

We went there to be 'liberators' and promote democracy - but then allowed them to be be "socialists" with their health care plans? :wtf:

We helped them write that document... under Bush, so now I'm confused?

You'll have to explain the "if it's good enough for iraq" comment too, because the way I see it, even though they subscribe to a different religion - they're still people with the similar health care needs as most of the people here. You kinda sound like King of the Hill...

We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the American way. We are about to become all that our fathers fought and died to defend us from.

This is a power grab by the liberal elite, plain and simple!

Oh……. And that’s just my opinion!

Been following the medical laws over the last few years have we?

The infrastructure to track everything you do in the name of medical is there already.

Just needs a couple of touches to bring it all together. Starting with the idea that you can't see your own medical reports, they are for health professionals and Homeland security.

Banking reform with more govt oversight. Meaning 'they' now have direct access to all your banking info, 'they' own the bank.

Everything moving to a cashless society via VISA, Master Card and the like.

Biblical prophesy, cats and dogs living together in sin, where will it end?

And thats a wrap for the Obama-Nation show for this evening folks. Join us next time for our tribute to Al Gore, inventor of the interwebs! Until then, here's hoping for change!

(cue the music, and the announcer )

Nothing to see here, move along....

Even the tin foil hat guys get one right every now and again.

I meant that as sarcasm...

And here's your "Iraqi public healthcare"

http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=11126

looks like they face a 1.6 BILLION dollar financial gap

I'm pretty sure given their infrastructure or lack there of... the medical needs of iraqis are different than that of the U.S.

Let our experiment in Iraq serve as a model of why we shouldn't try universal healthcare here :D

well the problem is, the current legislation doesn't require you to pay taxes to receive the benefits, they just require other people to pay the taxes. So say you grant amnesty to 10 million illegals... thats no guarantee that they make money or will pay in to the system and even if they do will they pay enough to support their "share" of the cost.

California recently voted to ban state benefits to illegal immigrants and it was shot down twice by the supreme court. The details are leery but per constitutional law you can't provide healthcare to one group specifically without making it available to another group (whether here legally or illegally) so unless there is a provision in the bill that specifically states (not provided to illegals) [which would be unconstitutional] then you can assume that illegal aliens will have access to medical care, whether they're made citizens or not, and whether they pay taxes or not.

All these "LIES" all around from everyone (Rep, Dem, Lib, Conservative)... ya know the one big difference is that Obama's "lies" haven't cost people their lives.

How many people did Obama save today?

How many people did our current health care system save today?

Todd = "Bbbbbbbuttt bbbbutttt buttttt the liberals did it!"

Hey, it works for you people. Figured I'd take a page out of your book.

Tit for tat, right - both of you are good at that. You of all people should understand that - what, with being down-trodden and all.

You people? What is that supposed to mean, asshat?

I see your cock hasn't grown any since yesterday, but your balls sure did swell up.

Y'all better come get your boy. Real talk.

"Real Talk" Are you kidding me. It was already proven in the "other thread" that you have NO desire to have any type of "real talk".

Do I detect a bit of penis envy? I mean, for a chick, you sure do talk about cocks and balls a lot.

Ass hat? I see you subscribe to the typical "progressive" thought process. of those people.

When you run out of intelligent things to say, call them a name.

Like "old nerdy white guy"

Or "Nazi".

Come on, you can do better....

You know you want to say it....

Go ahead...it'll make you feel better.

That's an interesting double-standard. It's not good enough that he didn't send people to their deaths on a lie, but he has to save people as well.

I guess Iraq got that free health care you love so much on a lie too?

Interesting double standard there.

Can't you find a cartoon to post?

Who said it was free? It just says they have a RIGHT to it. You'd be naive to think it'd be free, c'mon.

So, I don't understand the "double-standard" you're trying to drive at?

Guaranteed Health Care In Iraq - But Not For You

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-dorlester/guaranteed-health-care-in_b_280528.html

That $864B would buy a lot of medical care for Americans. It also puts the $70B loaned to the auto industry in perspective.

Ahhh...the Huffington Post....another bastion of information for the liberal left.

Oddly enough, $864B WONT finance BHO's health plan. You're about $50B short - and thats WITH the $600B or so that he wants to take OUT of medicare payouts (but you seniors don't worry - he's not going to "mess with medicare" - that's not a LIE, because BHO says it isn't)

Oh and by the way, I didn't have to send the gardener home early yesterday. I'm going to re-coup the $1,000.00 I sent to Rep. Wilson by taking the BMW to Washington this weekend instead of the Jet.

You obviously didn't read the quoted part of my post, you know, the important part. So I'll selectively repost it for you

The statement:

Complaints that those in the United States illegally would get benefits under the health-care bill

The facts:

The bill, HR 3200, ... It specifically bars illegal immigrants from receiving those subsidies. Section 246, which is included in the part of the bill that sets up the exchange, forbids payments "on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

The Verdict

False. A new report finds the bill could require illegal immigrants to buy coverage, but it clearly restricts subsidies to U.S. citizens and legal residents.

I think where you're logic trips up, is that our laws protect only our people. We can make laws and give benefits that exclude illegal immigrants because they aren't protected by our constitution until they become legal.

If our laws only protect "our people" then why are terrorists being mirandized in Afghanistan and Iraq right now by the CIA and our troops?

Why are they being provided legal counsel in gitmo?

But go ahead, trust our government to deny healthcare to illegal immigrants when we don't deny jihadist the same legal rights of a taxpaying U.S. citizen.

Why are illegal aliens allowed to receive in state tuition and welfare assistance in 9 states?

I'm going to refer you to the 14th amendment and the historical ambiguity on what constitutes a resident. Quite often many people come to the U.S. to give birth to their children so that they can receive citizenship (even tho' their parents aren't legal aliens and thus they receive welfare because they have a child or minor who is a resident). Healthcare isn't going to be any different. Many citizens in California have tried to pass legislation to prevent these things from happening and they've been stricken down by the state and federal supreme court. So just because the bill says "it's not for illegal immigrants" doesn't mean that its A.) constitutional, B.) it doesn't provide enough detail to prevent benefits being given to children of non citizens etc...

Our 2010 U.S. Census doesn't even ask if you're here legally, so I'm not sure why the hospital would ask that either when providing healthcare.

Amen.

The key here is that no "proof of citizenship" is required to gain access to the health care system (in HR3200). If you don't have to prove citizenship, its very easy to scam the system.

So, in the final analysis HR3200 doesnt specifically provide health care to illegal immigrants, but it doesn't rule it out.
