RSVDon
Ok, so I'm gonna need a new chain and sprockets soon. I just don't know what to do though.Factory size chain is 525 with xx T steel counter/xx T steel sprocket.I'm currently running a 520 chain with 15 T steel counter/ 43 T aluminum sprocket. What are your guys opinions on going back to a 525? Will I get any more life on it than the 520? Cost wise which one is better?
swingset
525, all things equal, should last longer than a 520.The 520 will likely be cheaper, but if it were me I'll always opt for a more stout, longer lasting chain. It'll only be a few more bucks, but likely much longer life and less chance of sending links through your case.
RFM
520 is lighter for the rotating mass. Big if your racing. But for what you do, not an issue.

Lost1888
This is the kit I have been running since I put it on this winter. So far 13K or so miles on it and haven't had to adjust anything since install. The sprockets are Pit Bull.
