Many employers are requiring IT certifications, so I figured that I had to start somewhere.While not having a degree will not guarantee you a job, not having one will guarantee you to be excluded from a lot of consideration. I have ran into that applying for spots inside my own organization. But you are correct about acquiring some certifications, and as industry standards evolve to match the development of tech, certs help in that. I am working on my own this year as well.
