Monstrosity
I'm having a rough time getting my rear brake firm. I flushed the system and let the system drain (on accident). I put a speed bleeder on it and its better but still dosent lock up like it used to. Any advice?
chevysoldier
Bleed it back wards. Empty the line and reservoir and using a large syringe push fluid from the caliper up to the reservoir.orDo it manually. Loosen bleeder, depress pedal, tighten bleeder, repeat.Speed bleeders don't always work perfectly, they will get "most" of the air out. yotaman88210
Sometimes you will have the take the caliper off. Air can get trapped
flounder
Suggestion: Dont make it too firm or youre gonna end up on your head the next time you use it. Rear brake = touchy mojo so be warned.
Moto-Brian
Why would you want it to be to a point it locks instantly? I would suggest like Flounder stated and make it so it doesn't lock actually. Please tell me you don't use it as a primary stopping platform... NeverEnough
Well do you mean a FIRM lever, or how far down you have to press on the brake lever before it engages?... (just checking)
