Need help removing rear seat from an 05 CBR

I have a 2005 CBR 600rr and can't seem to open the rear seat (SEAT RELEASE LOCK) . Once I insert my key to unlock it it doesn't seem to turn much. I have tried applying pressure down on the seat and trying to unlock it that way.

I was able to open it when I got the bike originally :(

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance..

Turn the key. While it's turned, stick something in there and wiggle it around by the grab handle. That should get it off pretty quickly. :D

I had problems getting mine off a few times, too.

There's no way to post this without it sounding ghey.

Just saying man...

lol thanks I shall try it tomorrow sometime. Hopefully get that mofo off so I can see if installing an exhaust and removing the fender is something I can handle.

SWEET! That worked like a charm..

Had a buddy pull the seat while I turned the key, snapped right off.

Pulling the rear fender and exhaust is pretty easy. If u need help let me know I recently swapped mine out.

I will surely take you up on that offer...

How can I show my appreciation if you don't smoke or drink lol:cool:
