1 Adult Dies, Another Hurt in Bike Wreck

CALEDONIA, Ohio -- A man in his 20's is dead and a 21-year-old girl injured after their mini-bike wrecked on Caledonia Northern Road, near State Route 309, ABC6/Fox28 News has learned.

First Consolidated Fire transported the injured woman from the scene, located in Marion County, to Marion General for medical attention. MedFlight then took her to another hospital. The extent of her injuries was not confirmed.

ABC6/Fox28 News learned that a person driving a pick-up truck in the southbound lanes of Caledonia Northern Road reported seeing the scooter swerving across the road as it came down the northbound lanes. The scooter reportedly hit the truck.

Police have yet to confirm these details, though, as accident reconstruction officers work to recreate the series of events.

Few other details -- including what caused the accident, along with man and woman's names -- were immediately made available by local authorities. Stay tuned to ABC6/Fox28 News for an update

CALEDONIA — A driver was killed Tuesday afternoon and his passenger injured when their motor scooter went left of center and collided with a tow truck.

Melroy and Bramel were not wearing helmets, according to the patrol.

Doesn't sound like gear would have made much difference when running head-on into a tow truck,

but unfortunately most scooter riders don't wear much gear at all, if any.

I passed a woman probably early 20's the other day riding a crf100 down the road rt 20 50mph zone with an infant sitting in front of her.... what is with people???? She should have been arrested for endangering the life of a child
