THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

A man was critically hurt tonight when his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle on the Near East Side, and he was then thrown in front of a car.

The man, whose name wasn't available, suffered head injuries and was taken in critical condition to Grant Medical Center, said Columbus police Sgt. Howard Pettengill.

He said that the injured man was riding with about 10 motorcyclists who were going west on E. Livingston Avenue when two of the motorcycles struck each other at 9:35 p.m. near the intersection with Wilson Avenue.

The rider and his bike then went into the eastbound lane of Livingston and he was hit by a car, Pettengill said. The name of the driver of that car also wasn't available late tonight.
