Disclaimer
The only drawback I see is "Technician" - meaning, not paid well. Fringe benefits might be enough for some though. Double-edged sword.
gen3flygirl
true, but it is getting your foot in the door and gaining experience

Double-edged sword. The latest "Human Resources" waste of time is to call everyone either a specialist or a technician. The specialist is the new name for secretary or clerical worker. I don't know where it started, but it is spreading fast. Edited August 1, 2010 by ReconRat

TSB67
Three to five years' in motor sports industry experience as technical person or manager of team/rider; work experience in the tire industry preferred Who here has this? Just curious.Sounds like what I would call a "technical sales" position more than anything engineering related anyhow.Didn't know Goodyear owned Dunlop... learned something today. dorifto240
You posted this one but neglected to mention that Good Year is looking for a blimp technician!http://goodyear2.candidatecare.com/srccsh/job.guid?_reqID=2000002544010&_cache=858093306601416451&x=1175I think Brn6604 is right: this sounds like an internal sales job. "Oh you're sponsored by Goodyear, have you tried our new tire yet?"

"Oh you're sponsored by Goodyear, have you tried our new tire yet?"they are also looking for a blimp pilot which is how I found the job I posted. I can guarantee that the blimp technician job is just that. You work on the engines and do other preventative maintenance related things. l have spoken to a current pilot several time who started out as a blimp technician.
