Gump
You can participate now via proxibid but there is a 15% buyers premium and I'm not sure if you won if you could just pick it up vs. sending to a FFL. I'd think they could arrange something.$10 handling fee per gun if you buy in person. 3% conv. fee if you use Mastercard or Visa..I'll be there. Been there before. Dealers show up of course but sometimes there's a good deal to be had. Shotguns this time of year normally go for a premium due to deer hunting nuts. http://www.garnerauctioneers.com/upcoming%20firearm%20auctions.htmI'm interested in these:MOSSBERG MOD 183KD, 410 GA, #298344 WITH POLY CHOKECOLT POLICE POSITIVE, 38 CAL, STAG GRIPS ORIG. Gump
I understand. This auction is kind of a redneck auction. ???? I didn't see many high end guns. Prolly at least $200. You can't tell surface condition from pics.
jagr
Preban mini14. Hmm. That should have a folding stock too.

Gump
Sometimes they don't. There are sleepers. I'm not sure how this auction will go. No big dollar guns to bring in the heavy hitters.
max power
Man, I wish it was on some other weekend. I'd stay at the farm and make a weekend of it.

bandit12
A friend of mine had me drive his goods over to Garner's several years ago in my truck, probably had 60 guns and a bunch of ammo and accessories and we didn't make a dent in the amount of guns that were there that time. It was my first and a weird auction, the expensive stuff sold fairly cheap and the beater rifles sold for 20-25 dollars over new.

speedytriple
That looks to be a 186 model mini 14. Why you looking at the older ones gump? Price at the gun shows around here for 181 and 186 models are with in $50-$100 bucks of the new ranch rifles. You could just buy my mini I have been trying to sell? Just saying... Gump
I don't know much about those at all. Is it an old gun or a new gun?
jagr
I've "heard" some of the mini14s from that series (186) have accuracy issues. Depends on who you ask. Speedys would be fine though.
speedytriple
186 series would be mid to late 80's. They have been known to have barrel whip when they heat up, causes bad stringing issues. It can be helped by adding a barrel strut. They are not ar-15 accurate but the new ranch rifles with the heavier barrel is much better.
