I saw of animated gif of these guys the other week, and this article was on Digg.com today -- these two kittens have what vets think is myotonia congenita, also known as “fainting goat” syndrome.

Pretty funny to watch :D, but kind of a sad story. :(

It's a a mutation in the sodium channel transporter protein in the cells. When excited, the muscle cells response to a excitation spike potential and the sodium channel can't release (as fast) the required sodium to dissipate the pulse instead the animal stay in the shocked phase and pass out. Gradually then they wake up over time with the slow sodium release. It's a mutation just like epilepsy and can't be treated with drugs.....
