Hoblick Posted February 6, 2011 Report Share Posted February 6, 2011 so got my bags back from paul.. i had him get the extensions attached so i could make the cutouts for the exhaust. he started doing some body work on them as well, still alot to go to make them paint ready though..also i got my exhaust extensions back from my welder buddy.. he did an amazing job.. they fit ultra tight, and if i ever want them back to stock, just unbolt the extensions and done.i still have to sand them down and polish them, but i figure ill do that when everything else is out for paint.so i got a few things accomplished tonight..got the cutouts made for the exhaust to come through.. i still need to trim it up a little more, im not 100% happy with it, but im almost there. i just got tired and said ill finish it tomorrow lol.i got the stud adhered to the rear fender that will bolt to the cross bracei also ended up putting the stock suspension links on it. the ones that were on it made it sit really low and it looked great when the air ride is dropped, but i when its raised i didnt feel like i had enough ride height with the newly added weight and add ill have a passenger on there as well. so its great for when its at ride height loaded, but doesnt look as bad ass when its dropped now..but id rather be able to ride the thing than scrape everywhere and destroy the fender and bags..i am going to be making some additional brackets for the exhaust out back.. something that will attach to the bottom bag bracket. the exhaust shakes alot on any dual exhaust setup on the roadstar, especially on the left side. so i need to get something on there to keep the shaking to a minimum.so anyway on with the picstrying to hold the fender in some where it should be tightened down tosame herein this pic you can kinda see where the exhaust extension is..
