Whatever you did it's faster. My expertise in computers is "Did you try turning it off and back on again?" LOL

Shhh! That's about 99% of server support. If it doesn't come back up then have the hardware gophers at NOC start replacing stuff until it's un-broked.

That's only for Windows servers.

Linux and HP-UX don't have this "not working" problem... :D

Don't start the OS holy wars again.

Windows = Large mansion with a nice facade that is actually built like a garden shed behind the scenes. When something breaks you call an overpriced repair man who turns out to be an 18yo geek from a box store who knows less than you.

Linux = Pile of lumber, nails, a hammer and lots of man pages. When something breaks you pick up your tool belt and fix it yourself.

MAC = Artsy-fartsy studio apartment with no dishwasher, microwave or other normal useful features, and in a part of town that nobody lives in. When something breaks you write emo poetry and cry.

Mainframe = Retirement home. Nice solid building that been there for decades and won't fall down but full of old people who don't like change, and nobody under 50 wants to live there. When something breaks you spend hours trying to fix it, then some old guy walks up and fixes it in 3.7 seconds before wandering away muttering something about "whippersnappers"
