RSparky
so, it has been a pain to make a bracket to hold the new projectors, but it's jus about done. Here are the brackets. They're made from 3/16" aluminum, so I had to grind the area down where the little adjusting nuts would go. The idea is to keep it "stock" as possible, so I can go back to he regular lights if need be. I tried to keep the little ball joint cup thing too, but as you'll see, that created problems. This was test fitting the projectors. The lenses wouldn't quite go all the way down. So, I scrapped using the ball joints that Yamaha had on one of the corners, and just put a bolt with a nut or two as spacers. After about 8 attempts at making a shroud out of those flexible cutting boards. Then replicating it was a pain because I guess each side isn't exactly symmetrical...Now I just need to mount everything. I've got it wired up for the most part. But... other projects would prevent me from starting the bike anyway. nonetheless, I'm proud. This is projector retrofit number 2 for me. RSparky
i thought about rings, but i want to keep it simple. a) for my simple brain, but b) idk if i like the flashiness... thus the all white paint scheme. besides. i want to be visible, but not draw attention. idk if it's dayton, or i'm just a cop magnet... but yah.
