progrmr
If you're new to working on bikes I seriously don't recommend starting with carbs. They're a bitch to get in and out, cables running to the carbs in berg specific ways, those are a bitch to get connected right...the whole thing is just agonizing. Ive done it on three bikes....NEVER again lol
Gixxus Christ!
Eh, cards aren't that bad. I recommend you join a Katana forum and see if they have a tech write up on how to clean, tune and sync carbs. If not, I'm not too far from millersburg (I think) and could help you out of you can get them or the bike to my place in massillon.

Most throttle bodies have the same 2 steel braided lines going to them and are in the same rubber boots.I think carbs are pretty easy to work on in the scheme of things. If you are careful, taking them apart to clean isn't bad and synching them is incredibly easy (you can even make the tool, try that with a $500 PC/Bazazz). The hardest part is tuning them, which I don't do for a reason haha.

mango_sv
Katana isn't that hard to work on. Its a very basic (but proven powerful and reliable) motor. Jump over KatRiders.com for all the info you could ever dream of. If ya need any extra parts, I got some laying around.
