Seriously look into getting one before the event. Last year we were in Full gear rolling under 20MPH for 11 hours with temperatures over 90•. My goal is 60 volunteers ( motorcycle escort and first aid) along with 10 bicycle riders. Nobody is going to get seriously hurt on my watch. Bikesource has offered to provide some basic bicycle maintenance courses for us before the event. Adrian if you are motivated you are welcome to help coordinate some of the efforts. It is more than I ca handle by myself and I wil l not deny someone who is eager the chance to shine. I still have my hi-vis yellow camelbak that I bought specifically for this, I would be more than happy to lend it out if someone is a little short on funds. You're going to be CRAWLING for a good long time, and between the heat from above and the heat from below, you're going to need some fluids. shittygsxr Posted July 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2012 Ok we are getting close to the event and will start getting everyone coordinated. usually we have people back out and add on until just a couple weeks before the event so passing on all of the details early just results in saying the same thing over and over again.If anyone has changed their mind and is going to drop out please let me know. If anyone would like to volunteer and make sure all the spandex wearers are ok we have some more room. I am sure casper would be more than happy to have you riding behind him staring at his butt.
