conn-e-rot
I have a pcIII-usb would there be any benefit to replacing it with a pcV?
Bad324
from what I understand its different from bike to bike but without a custom tune from Brian I wouldn't see gaining that much
SJC1000rr
In performance?...not really. The change from the PC3 to the PC5 is from controlling only the 4 lower injectors to all 8 injectors (Top & Bottom). This makes it easier for a complete custom tune since you can control it all. Where-as with a PC3, you only control the lower injectors....and makes it more of a guessing game to get the right air/fuel ratio since you aren't sure how much fuel the top injectors are or aren't putting in and having to adjust the bottom ones more to compensate. LINK
Above mentioned & "Auto-tune", from what I am hearing, not worth the time or $.A good "dyno tune" (map), and you're good.Contact Ivan's Performance, they might have a few things that interest you. conn-e-rot
only thing I've found that might possibly make it worth having is the ability to load 2 maps and switch between them with flip of a switch
M_Quick
The New Power Commander V is loaded with tons of new features. Below you will find some Power Commander V features.Reduced size from PCIIIusb (less than half of the size of PCIII)USB powered from computer (9 volt adapter is no longer needed for programming)2 position map switching function built in (map switch not included)Gear input (allows for map adjustment based on gear and speed)Analog input (allows user to install any 0-5 volt sensor and build an adjustment table based on its input such as boost or temperature)With gear position input connected the PCV is capable of allowing each cylinder to be mapped individually and for each gear (for example: on a 4 cylinder bike with a six speed transmission there could be up to 24 separate fuel tables).Unit has a -100/+250% fuel change range (up from -100/+100%). This allows more adjustment range for 8 injector sportbikes10 throttle position columns (up from 9 on PCIIIusb)Enhanced “accel pump” utility (increased adjustment and sensitivity ranges)
