vw151
IMO they don't look cheap, just rugged/enduro. Like you're riding out to alaska or something. I was thinking about putting some on my ex, and maybe slap on a dirtbike front fender to complete the look. but opted to get cheap soft bags and leave it at that. Appartment life sucks, can't have much powertool fun anymore I don't think they look cheap either but they'd look out of place/cheap on a new Ducati or bimmer. speedytriple
I am set to do this to my little dr-350 now I just need to get the rack and then wait for a gun show to get the ammo cans. Having a hard time finding a rack for the dr but think this could be made to work. Edited March 23, 2012 by speedytriple

vw151
I mean to mention earlier, the main inspiration for these boxes was this video from the KLR650reviews guy. His video links to where to buy this particular pannier rack. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPzs2n9Iia0I also liked this guys 2 color scheme in black and yellow, I just did black and purple in stead.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMUgCtDWNUEAnd of course, there is halfthrottle, I love his videos. This video has some nice footage of a KLR with ammo canshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf1dbdNJMScand this video is awesome even though there aren't ammo cans in it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M62y6BgvO-

vw151
I've been getting questions about the ammo can beer capacity for use up at mid Ohio, this should answer your questions. Ali included a pic of the new big windshield the previous owner sent me.

vw151
You'll be beer (and booze) beeoch this year, fer sure!Ill let others ride it, I don't need 60 beers to myself, between the klr and the yamahopper I don't think we'll go thirsty.I'm debating if I should install cooler style drain valves.
