As for the privacy concerns, a simple sniffer and firewall rules can take care of that. TV sending data you don't like outside the house? Access-list it away, easy peasy. I'd go to a doctor if I was you, you've got to have either carpal tunnel or repetitive motion injuries in your wrist by now.
