Moto-Brian
So, after 5 years, my son's XBox 360 is showing the three rings of death. Out of warranty and costs about $99 w/o shipping to fix...It is the Halo version and the reason he wanted to always keep it.SOOOOOO... I need a new XBox and he really wants to keep it the older one to save his memory. Anyone have a good used one for sale?Or better questions - can you somehow transfer old XBox 360 to new XBox 360 memory?I is dumb, dumb with dis... J_Copeland
I bought the data transfer cable when my old Xbox crapped out.If you were closer I'd let you borrow it.Check CL or eBay for cheap deals on these.
Tonik
Ask around, someone will have one you can borrow. That is how I did mine a month or two ago, borrowed it from a co-worker.http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/accessories/set-up-transfer-cableOr you can do it a little at a time with a USB drive.http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/accessories/usb-flash-drive Edited April 10, 2012 by Tonik
r1crusher
I second just using a big USB stick and transfer his profile. Games can be downloaded and installed again on the new one. I think you can use a 16GB stick which should be plenty.
crb
Also you can leave the USB stick in for added memory. Any USB memory stick will do it doesn't need to be Xbox brand.
imprez55
The new dashboard (by new I mean within the last 1.5 years or so) will allow for any USB stick to be used to transfer any data. 360's are cheap now, I'm not sure I even want to sell mine for how little I would get for it

shadyone
You can use the hard drive out an old one in a new box. Just have to buy the hard drive holder that fits the new box. You can find them for around 50$

bandit12
I guess I thought the newer "slim" model with this stuff would be worth what he is asking.I do not play this stuff, I picked up an xbox controller once, looked at it and laid it right back down. I still have my 2600 Atari.

The Craigslist ad isn't such a good deal for a used Xbox. He/she says its not Xbox lovejoy banned, but people lie.

Check out this one and see what you think.http://columbus.craigslist.org/vgm/2883473493.htmlTerrible price, you can get them for ~$100 if you look. Even this one is $180 shipped, half the price (add-ons are similar to bikes where they add nothing).
