Funny, I'm in the same boat. i'm supposed to be waiting on my brother to paint my bike. he's got the stuff and the know how, but he also has a <1 yr. old kid.

I'm kinda leaning toward getting mine done professionally too, just to get it done.

Or DIY. I've been considering, as I've read a ton of stuff while waiting for my brother...

subbed.

Call Andrew Swenson.. One of the best in the country.. He is in VA, but well worth shipping your stuff out to get it done WHEN HE TELLS YOU, and for the quality and care he puts into it, its WELL worth it! He did my dad and my race bike a few months ago, and also does Vesrah Suzuki/Riders discount, and a BUNCH of other ama teams... he is LEGIT and a honest business man... Can't say enough about him... Tell him Andy sent you.

we about to get the wifes bike back.. and my race fairings are out there right now.. dude is straight up... we had an issue with the wifes fairings from the manufacturer(manufacturer stepped up and took care of the problem) and andrew went above and beyond to get it right and not to screw us on the literally hours extra he had in on the process.. pics to come soon of hers.

andy what did charge you?

Well I crashed at Barber, and he was the only painted I trusted to do actual good repair work and make it look like new.. He had to get all the dents out of my tank, repair fairings, and then paint everything... I'll pm you pricing... he is the most thorough painter I know.

paul did great work for me....took a busted fender that was custom painted with a marble pattern by a guy 11 years prior and he fixed it up so it matched my bike... found the exact color paint, and used an identical pattern....it was miraculous, i thought for sure the whole bike needed painted if i ever wanted it to match

and his price was very fair!
