Need help locating a 20 amp switch for a fan over ride. I have searched every auto parts stores but only found them in 16 amp. Found some online but they don't fit. I've attached the ones I have need the exact dimensions just in a 20 amp switch. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Specs are in mm

Here is something like what your looking for. 19.2x13mm, 12v@20A. Rocker style with green back light so you know when it's on. $2.21

Here is another one that is 19.4x13mm same specs as above but water resistant with a different style back lighting in red. $2.43

http://search.digikey.com/us/en/products/GRB066B802BR1/CW101-ND/2349681

And identical to above red switch but no back lights; $2.08

http://search.digikey.com/us/en/products/GRB066A802BB1/CW100-ND/2349680

Edit: I've purchased stuff from Digi-Key multiple times in the past. Not bad to deal with and an electronic geeks dream store.

Why didn't you just get the kit I told you about. It was completely plug and play and included relay, switch, harness, switch mount and all instructions? Whole job done in 20 mins

Because I had already started the wiring myself everything works fine it just blew the switch I had connected to it.

Any of those work?

No, but thanks for the info. I should of mentioned radio shack did not have what I was looking for.

 Thanks, I went to radio shack and stores mentioned above last week and they have them just in square rockers :(

Im pretty sure that a cooling fan will not draw 20 amps!!

If you are trying to manually control when the fan is on/off I think a 16A switch will be more than enough..

You can also use a relay like MiodgetTodd says and use an even lower rated switch!

I'm going by what the fuse box had for it and its a 20 amp for the fan.
