Summary:

The Windows Systems Engineer is a position in the Service Delivery Systems group that is responsible for all Windows operating system support. The position is responsible to implement, administer, monitor, and manage all Windows based server hardware and software in addition to managing all external disk hardware and software. This position is responsible for software installation and maintenance, system administration (as required), and hardware installation. This position performs system tuning by working with the Systems Performance Specialist. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day availability of the systems, backups, and recovery. As the business needs evolve, the Windows Systems Engineer may be required to learn other operating system platforms.

This mid-level position assists with the technical lead for projects and provides technical assistance to others in the IT organization. The candidate relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals but follows the lead of the Senior Windows Systems Engineer and the Service Delivery Systems Manager. The candidate is able to perform a variety of tasks with moderate supervision and is expected to work somewhat independently of others. An average degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Off-hours support for the IT organization is expected; on call cell phones and lap top computers will be supplied to the person in this position.

General Responsibilities:

-Ensure appropriate production support for all Production, Development and Test systems for mid-range systems

-Ensure Disaster Recovery plans exist and are tested regularly

-Updates ticket and work records to support changes to the systems

-Provides availability metrics and reports as required by management

-Work with all System Owners (Enterprise Architecture, Business Solutions, SD, Project) and vendors in order to achieve sufficient performance/capacity levels and resolve problem

-Participates in the annual SOX process to support Service Delivery items.

-Back-up to others in the System Support team.

-Ensure appropriate production support for all Production, Development and Test systems for mid-range systems

-Other duties as assigned

Skills:

-2+ years of experience with Windows server administration and troubleshooting in an Enterprise environment required.

-Experience with Microsoft Exchange required (preferably 2010)

-Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server.

-Experience with working with a Help Desk on problem resolution including mentoring and training.

-Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware) a plus.

-Experience with Fibre Channel SAN environments a plus.

-Experience with monitoring solutions, Office Communicator, HP Proliant servers (C-class blades) a plus.

-Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience

-2+ years of experience in large scale Windows system experience

-Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision

-MCSE certification a plus.

Summary:

This is a Senior level Oracle Apps DBA position that needs a deep understanding on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) administration along with relational database technologies. Responsibilities include supporting both production and non-production EBS applications and Oracle Database products implemented. A large part of this position will be in supplying application developer's support and guidance as it pertains to Oracle Database, Oracle E-Business Suite best practices. Ability to quickly understand Data Warehousing and Business intelligence applications implemented at WI and provides support. Because of the nature of this position, technical support will exceed the normal eight hour work day and will be part of the mandatory Database on-call schedule supporting the Worthington Industries Helpdesk. Mentoring other DBA's as well as self-driving projects to success is other responsibilities.

General Responsibilities:

-Implement and maintain Database software

-Assist with the implementation of CEMLI's into the non production Oracle EBSO instances

-Implement and maintain Oracle or other middleware software

-Perform EBS post-Cloning tasks

-Assist application developers with issues related to SQL/PL-SQL tuning

-Respond to tickets in queue in a timely fashion.

-Active Database maintenance and support

-7/24 availability support for all applications assigned as the technical lead

-R & D and cross train other DBAs in new technologies learned

-Manage all production databases. Ensure the recoverability of all production data/database for operational and business continuation needs.

-Assist in the resolution of complex problems in support of production. This will include on-call support.

-Coordinate data security and actively support test plans, environments, benchmarks and statistics.

-Perform performance tuning of the database, implement solutions to improve quality and reduces defects in all database environments.

-Assist with the development of the technical architectures. Ensures the database management systems and tools support the defined architectures and business needs.

-Participate in the testing, evaluation, implementation, and training of RDBMS and related software products.

-Plan, coordinate, and implement projects or products as required; on-time, within budget, and with quality.

-Maintain solid technical skills in DBMSs, products, utilities, protocols, and techniques.

-Experience in working with Oracle on Service Requests for technical problems and resolutions

-Work closely with Systems, Production Support, Development and other teams to address issues related to managed areas and provide support as needed.

Skills:

-Proven Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and R12 on Oracle 10g/11g RAC environment

-Good understanding on Shared application top and technology stack of E-Business Suite

-Ability to communicate efficiently

-Oracle Apps Patching and maintenance procedures

-Oracle E-Business suite performance tuning

-Troubleshooting E-Business Suite Workflows, Concurrent Managers, System Administration related issues

-Strong experience in Oracle 9i/10g/11g databases

-Strong understanding and troubleshooting knowledge SQL, PL/SQL program

-Proficient with Oracle ASM

-Oracle Performance Tuning Expert Required

-Database patching, upgrades and other routine maintenance procedures

-Experience in various database backup and recovery techniques (RMAN, Exp/Imp, Transportable Tablespace, etc)

-Setting up Disaster Recovery instances using Oracle Data Guard

-Experience in working with OEM 11g/12c

-Unix/Linux expertise including shell scripting

-Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middleware 10g/11g product (SOA, BPEL, WebLogic, OAS etc)

-Good understanding on Data warehouse principles and BI tools (Cognos, OBIEE, etc.)

-Good to have knowledge on SQL Server

-Oracle Streams knowledge will be an added advantage

-Excellent communication, cross-team training, documentation skills and self-motivated

-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science or related areas
