Was the first time I took off the wheels and took them to the shop for mounting and balance. Learned alot.... but took a long time and had to drop some cash for some new tools but that will pay off in the long run. Yesterdays learning curve = 9AM to 6PM and $50 bones in tools. 4 trips to the shop (two trips for dumb questions) (why does it cost $25 for a 36mm socket?)Twitch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NinjaNick Posted April 2, 2007 Report Share Posted April 2, 2007 Oh yeah, wheel removal will get quicker man. I can have my rear off and on in probably 5 minutes. It's fun doing bike work yourself. I do all mine except for my valves. I don't have the tools for valves, but will sometime. As for the $25 socket...I think I got mine at some auto store for $7.99 a few years ago. Front wheel removal I got lucky and a buddy of mine who is an amateur roadracer gave me a free universal front wheel socket made to fit all bikes. Definately a cool little tool.
