A little more info.....

A motorcyclist from Cleves was killed in a Greene County crash Tuesday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The patrol identified the victim as Paul Stafford, 23.

The crash happened on Interstate 71, about three miles north of Ohio 72.

The patrol said Stafford was northbound on I-71 “at a high rate of speed,” and passed several vehicles on the right berm. His motorcycle then hit the rear of a semi truck trailer, throwing him from the motorcycle. “Ohio State Troopers arrived on scene moments after the crash. Troopers performed CPR, but all life- saving efforts were unsuccessful,” the patrol said.

The Greene County Coroner pronounced Stafford dead at the scene.

Authorities say they do not know who was driving the semi truck because “The truck did not stop at the scene, and it is possible the truck driver did not know (the truck) was involved in a crash,” the patrol said.

Stafford was wearing a helmet. No alcohol or drugs were suspected.

The crash remains under investigation. Authorities ask any witnesses to contact the patrol’s Wilmington Post at 937-382-2551.
