Sen10nalz
Just wondering if any of you guys experienced this. My license was suspended from 08-10 for driving without insurance. I have since reinstated and fully valid. During that time, i had my vehicles in my girlfriends name so I did not notice. However i just purchased a new car. and when i went to get my plates, they stated my registration was suspended. I checked the BMV website, it did not mention any reinstatment requirement. But did say it was suspended. I tried to call the bmv all day, but i keep getting a busy signal. Does anyone have experience with this? and why my license would be valid but registration suspended? Thanks in advance. Edited July 23, 2012 by Sen10nalz
grapesmuggler27
you need to pay a reinsatement fee
redkow97
And probably a late fee at this point. The registration was never "suspended," you just let it expire. Cars are registered, and drivers are licensed, but the two are totally unrelated. My grandmother owns a car, has it register, plated, and insured, but she no longer has a valid license. Just has my family or her neighbors drive her around when necessary.
madcat6183
All of the above are correct. I had mine suspended, and the day it was over, I was there by 9am paying my reinstatement fee. Done and done.
YSR_Racer_99
Is it my imagination, or have license plates quickly crept-up in price? New plates for the car today, and it was $50.25. Riddikulus.

Riddikulus. It seems like it wasn't long ago that they were just $26.50, or something like that.
