TRMN8TR
Already started savingNew track bike? It's gotta be the loss of those extra 37cc that made you slower on the '08 than the old 636.

I'm sure he's got an excuse list longer than than the Empire State building.
r1crusher
I personally think it's BS that he won't be at any races after I get my license. It would be something if I finished in front of him.We could just start calling him Nick Jr.

I got so giddy when they announced another 636.It's cool that it's a 636 but I was hoping for a 750....Yeah, I know that's never going to happen. CBBaron
Also noticed in the article that there is a new small Ninja. The Ninja 300 looks like quite a step up in the small displacement sport bikes. Claimed power is over 10hp better than the 250R And finally the baby Ninja gets FI and ABS. Kawi seems to be making a big statement with their latest releases.Craig
Tpoppa
I am liking this bike, but not sure what to make of the fork setup. Are any other bikes using this configuration:http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/kawasaki/2013-kawasaki-ninja-zx6r-preview-91423.html... Big Piston-Separate Function Fork (BP-SFF). Like the previous generation BPF, damping circuits are controlled by a large-diameter piston, but, in this version, damping takes place only in the right-side fork leg, with rebound- and compression-damping adjusters conveniently located at the top of the fork tube. Spring preload is adjusted at the top of the left tube.
blue03636
Pretty sure they have been that way since
Tpoppa
^^^I'm pretty sure damping was in both forks until this 2013 model. 2009 had the Big Piston Fork, but not separated like the new one.
blue03636
Either way, you really don't need damping in both forks.
Tpoppa
I am curious to see how this setup actually performs. I would guess it's lighter. If damping is only on one leg, does that mean that fork oil is not needed in the other one?
OSUYZFR1
My R1's forks are this way also. Tpoppa
My R1's forks are this way also. Seems to be they way things are moving towards now.I thought the new R1 forks were like what IP described for the 749 dark. Could be wrong tho.The 749Dark was similar. It had compression damping on one fork' date=' and rebound on the other fork. Preload was adjustable on both. I always thought it was counter-intuitive.[/quote']
