Yes and no lol.

Her bike started smoking, so it needs rings.

The motor in the one i picked up is perfect, so im swapping all the aftermarket parts to it.

Ill be doing a bbr big bore kit on the one that needs rings. Ill tun it in the f2 class.. I think thats what it is.

Who needs a thread when there's a dedicated site?!

Hmmmmmm I'm interested. Doesn't mention anything about safety wiring, wonder if that's an expected thing even if its not mentioned.

You have to safety wire the following..

Header bolts

Exhaust mounting bolts

Oil drain plug

Oil filler cap

Axel bolts/nuts

You also have to have a catch can for the carb drain and vent hoses

The crank case vent needs to go to the catch can as well if youre not using the stock crank case vent hose that goes to the intake tube

Post pics of your solution. I am curious what this setup will look like.

Based on Ryan's post on the OMRL board and the responses he got, I think it would probably be easiest to just get a pic of prepped bike and copy that solution.

An XR100 will be my first purchase after my track bike sells. My only question/concern is how long tires last.

I'm hoping I can get a full season in on 2 rears and 1 front, but I have no clue if that's realistic or not...

A set of BT45's runs about $200 ($115/$85) so it's not like more frequent replacement would be THAT much of a hit (compared to the big bikes), but it would be killer to do a full season on $320 of tire.

Here she is..

All safety wired up

Fresh oil change

New chain and sprockets

BBR firk springs and 15wt oil

BBR shock spring

Lowered the front end by raising the forks in the trees

Cleaned and regreased all suspension bushings

Protaper fat bars and mounts

Motion pro clutch and brake cables

Pirelli tires

XR80 front wheel

Uni air filter

Just gotta put a catch can on and its track time!
