Mr.turbo was there but he was running turbo busa's gen 1 ...237mph

and some jet car ran 340mph new T.M. record ..

Mr. Turbo also has hit 251mph on one of his Busa's before too. That is AWESOME!

I saw that Y2K, but I couldn't find anyone post a speed of what that guy did.

I know it's not the same, but in Project Gotham 4...that Y2K is a dog. Good top end, but a 600 would eat it's lunch for acceleration -- in the game anyway.

I don't know how it fares in real life. I'm sure the 2-speed gearbox, 500lbs weight, and the 52,000 rpm it takes to reach peak horsepower doesn't help much on the acceleration end. The Bikez.com site say's it'll run a 9.8s quarter mile and hit 227mph in 15secs, so maybe it will.

It's more of a "once you get going" bike for power, and top end.

Jay Leno has one. He told a story of this guy tailgating him and was on his ass at a stop light so he revved it up and it melted the guys front bumper...haha.

It does not use thrust for movement, it uses a chain and gearbox and the exhaust comes out on the side like shown in the pic so I think he was just kidding in the article

The bike is turbine powered, but not thrust driven. The result of the turbine still causes a lag between throttle movement and response from the bike. In theory the bike should accelerate more as the speed increases due to increased intake flow, but eventually aerodynamic drag overpowers the bike. Fd= -.5p(v^2)CA.
