I believe the mini 20 counts. I was t on a 600 though...you could always man up and get on a 1000 and seriously underutilize it like I do.

Wait, I needed to catchup on this thread, 1)When I do fisting, I always use good lube, so like suspension just spend $$ on it. Older, newer, just make sure its good stuff. 2)I read something in here about Ftards, I love them, I love when youcall me that, it gets me all warm and sh*t.

I prefer that when I pass you I am on a 600 (OK, 675) and you're on a 1000. It will just make it that much better!

Passing me is setting your standards low...its an accomplishment if you pass desmo_brian or Agnes though. I got passed by an sv going into 12 like I was sitting still (video to prove it). Again though, I say, bring it. You both have underlying motives, I am certain...chasing me for my soul.

Its okay, like I said, I wasn't mad. Maybe next time don't look deep into my eyes and whisper in my ear, that part got a tad weird.

But for real dude, suspension is so amazing. Granted my GSXR came with updated cartridges and rear shock, but in the end amazing.

Agreed. Need to keep it more business professional when in public.

Looking forward to trying it out this year. Kind of want to ride it stock and then switch so I can fully appreciate the differences.

I just found a set of used ohlins fgr804 forks for my bike for a really good deal. Seriously thinking I am going to make them mine. Payday is Friday!

You will want to call Reuben or Carr and ask about the internals. I believe that you'll still want to buy a set of at least 25mm cartridges for those. They are R/T, but more road than track... Don't be fooled by the gold color, man. Take the money and buy a TTX rear and a 25mm cartridge kit. Rub gives a discount to OR riders...

I ended up picking up the older prxls. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to get a ttx but I couldn't find a used one. I am doing all this on a budget while trying financially footing the majority of the bills getting my wife through school. As for the forks, they are a deal for sure as I cant really even get new cartridges for the price I found them. I am used to riding around on stock suspension which isnt even sprung for my fat ass. No matter what these will be a major improvement for me which my skill level is likely never to top. I am going to get them refreshed and sprung for my weight. I appreciate your input on the subject though as your racing experience far outweighs mine.

I should also clarify to the top paragraph is the ohlins info provided. I am not naive enough to believe that race teams arent modifying these and setting them up for their needs; however, I am not at that level nor likely ever will be. This is a fun hobby for me that I am trying to improve at but its not going to be anything more than that for me. Thus cost trumps performance threshold for me.

They are the same forks. But the internals are not. For example, on the 1199S with Ohlins, the internals need to be swapped. Race use is a different stack and setup than street use. Not a big deal, but it isn't the same forks as seen on AMA Superbikes...

You got the forks for under $1k? That's a great deal!!

I have a deal setup right now for just a bit over a grand. I am going to get everything refreshed and resprung. I can always further upgrade in the future if I can get fast enough to justify it...or when I get bored over a future winter. I am sure that for me the upgrade will be more than adequate and confidence inspiring to pick up my pace vs the stock stuff I have been rolling around on. Hopefully or I will be eating some crow when I see you in the pits lol.
