Hell I quit giving them a courtesy flash of the brights a long time ago. You got your brights on, mine are coming on too. I'll turn mine of when you turn yours off.

Just bear in mind that two drivers headed towards each other, both effectively blind, is not an ideal situation.

I use my left hand to cover their headlights and stare at the fog line on my side of the road. No value in making things worse.

They get a quick double-tap of brights, then a longer burst, but I go back to low beams again in time for him to pass safely.

Depending on the length of the other drivers carelessness, I often don't flash, I just turn mine on and leave them on till they pass even after they turn theirs off. Kind of a remember this jerko.
