  1. Hi to all, I'm Andrew and I have been meaning to join Columbus Racing for a while and just now got around to doing so. My dad got me into cars at a very young age and in the past 5 years mainly Oldsmobile. A lot of people ask me why Oldsmobile? Well I personally like to be unique and to most younger car people today Oldsmobile does not even register in their mind as having anything to do with performance. So thats why I choose Olds. This has not been my first Olds either. Before this I had a 1988 Cutlass supreme classic with a stock 72 350 and th350 3speed as well. So heres my ride. 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Car came with a blown up 307 5.0L V8 that was taken out the second day I had the car. From the day I tore the motor out of the car I started my build with a 1972 Oldsmobile 350. Motor is standard bore, 10:1 compression, comp cams dual energy cam, aluminum intake, 800CFM Q-Jet, Hedman headers, dual flowmaster exhaust with X-pipe. This is all backed up by a built TH350 3 speed with 2.56 gears in the rear. All work to this car has been done by me. The only thing I was unable to do was the machine work. Looking forward to meeting some new people that are into cars around Columbus. Heres a couple pics. 2. Checking in from dayton....I was pointed here to check out the site by some others(Evil8 for one), Name is Matt, and I have a fairly slow Trailblazer SS. Looking forward to some good fun here and maybe finding some new events to go to and people to chill with. Currently I am in process of building a new engine to drop into the Truck, but in its current form, the truck has went 11.87@116 With a self proclaimed "AWESOME" driver......I say hes just skinnier than me. Heres ma ride. http://www.mazdas247.com/members/ForceFed/TBSS/Thanksgiving%20Shoot%20Sneek%20Peek%206.jpg http://www.mazdas247.com/members/ForceFed/TBSS%20Photoshoot/Season%20of%20Lights%20SS%202.jpg

  3. I have always refers to my bike as a "she" rather than an "it". A friend finally got curious and asked why that was. This was my explanation.... I have to get new rubbers all the time. I ended up spending all my money on her. She gets wet quite frequently, sometimes with me on her and sometimes all by herself. She likes to be ridden hard. She is loud and obnoxious. She is mostly only a one rider type bike but will occasionally go two up.

  12. I practice dry drills with my kid all the time. My 7 yr old is on the ball and can even name the parts of a firearm. We did drills LONG before we ever went to our range (I have a make shift range on a family farm) and fired a single shot. If you teach them right from the start you won't have issues like that occur. My step son learned in a simliar fashion but was older. He kept putting his finger on the trigger during dry practice. I solved the problem by stabbing him in the hand with a fork after telling him twice. He's good to go now...he only uses spoons due to the mental trauma, but at least he wont accidentally discharge a gun LOL (I kid about the spoon part)

  14. Whats up guys, a new guy from Cincinnati here. Been into cars and bikes, but with a wedding coming up I had to back down on all of the toys. Car wise I had a 98' heads/cam Trans Am for quite a few years.....then I got into bikes. Had a 04' GSXR 1000. Was putting 4-5000 miles a month on it, riding every second I got a chance. June 13, 2006 I sat down a nice long wheelie, going about 70mph, and hit a deer head on. Totaled the bike, scuffed me up a little, but lived to tell about it. Then moved on to a 06' gixxer 750. Rode if for about 6 months and then finally sold it to finance a little more college. Now I'm rockin an 06 Acura TL, loooking for a nice corvette to get back into the car game. I frequent Columbus quite a bit. My fiance owns a dance studio and they have a ton of competitions at the convention center up there. Needless to say I'm looking for a reason not to dread going up to Columbus haha. Look forward to meetin' a few of you sometime. Shawn
