I've only been on Ohio drifting for the longest time now. Figured I'd branch out and get to know some other people in the Columbus auto scene. I drive a black S14. I had an SR20 but I wanted something more so I'm finishing up a 1JZ swap as this is being typed (literally, I'm waiting on the rtv to dry). Anyway, hopefully I'll get to meet some people here at the track or car meets if there ever are any. I'll be at the cars and coffee meets as well from time to time when I finish my build. I use this name for every forum I'm on (except ohio drifting where I'm just GotBoost) so perhaps you've seen me around on the interweb.2 points

Whoa you guys are quick haha. I was searching my computer for pictures right after I posted. Here she is when I first bought her in Phoenix http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/gotboost2jz/Image010_0001.jpg Cleaned her up a bit, new headlights, and post SR20 install. This is still in PHX back in '09 http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/gotboost2jz/0311001139.jpg Last year. Still didn't have my coilovers on. Sorry I don't have anything newer http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/gotboost2jz/0719001506.jpg And a quick mock up of my 1JZ build. I get antsy for pictures when I get parts back from powdercoating. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/gotboost2jz/06271116191.jpg2 points

Hey, hopefully everyone had a safe fireworks display so far!!! Stay safe... We had a blast at the lake! Military buddies came by. We had ribs pizza cottage pizza, some beers and some whiskey. Bunch of bullshit and ass kicking stories from the lands of the sands! Whooa. A little tidbit to chew on. Have you heard the ass kicking jokes. You see someone this weekend at any time that does not respect that flag flying freely or representing during the national anthem before those fireworks go boom, it is a perfect time as a AMERICAN to kick there ass! Just bought some ice cream for a WWII vet at Tom's in Zanesville. He had no idea! It was great! He turned around and said I dont know who paid my bill but thanks. I just stood up and saluted him and told him if it was not for guys like you we would not be celebrating this weekend or speaking the language we speak! Least I could do! hopefully you have the oppurtunity to do the same this weekend! Feels good!1 point

I would bet she'll be sentenced to 25 and serve about a third of that. If this is her first DUI, she might get off a little lighter, but there is probably a minimum sentence for manslaughter.1 point

If you are not on said list- Or, can not beat anyone on said list- They why hang off the balls of said list? I mean, if you are going to suck off people you don't even know-you may as well do it at some gay club in c-bus in real life. Real faggots are still harder motherfuckers than E-Faggots.:fuckyeah:1 point

Oh, I forgot to mention. It's not hard to out run someone who isn't chasing you to begin with. Not pursuing speeders at an excessive rate of speed applies to cars also. It just happened that in this case I was already moving when he came onto 315 at Lane "chasing" the other car and was right next to me when he entered the highway. The problem was that HE had tunnel vision from chasing the other car and didn't notice me behind him for about 2 miles When I was 17, I "out ran" a Seneca County deputy. In all reality, I was driving 110 mph in a 55 zone at night and he was stopped on the side of the road. I didn't see him until I was on top of him and he didn't turn on his lights until I passed. I was able to turn into a housing development outside of town just as he was turning on his lights. When I turned, he shut his lights off and just sat there. He probably thought I was home and didn't have a chance to catch me before I got inside. Again, I "out ran" someone who had enough sense not to put us both at risk.1 point

From my viewpoint, which means absolutely nothing, any group ride on here is mutually inclusive. If someone is organizing a ride, it's their responsibility to make it clear to those what type of ride it's going to be, so the riders can make the decision on whether to join or not. You're on a forum where the majority or bikers have sport bikes, not cruisers. BUT....the majority of folks on here don't discriminate when it comes to riding. A cruiser is made to ..cruise. A sport bike ...not so much. So yeah, the sport bike riders tend to want to ride faster. Any ride that I lead, I make it clear that you can ride whatever ride you want to ride in the corners...but I WILL be waiting on everyone to get to the next intersection. If you're looking for a formation/staggered ride, then you're probably looking in the wrong place. I'm speaking for myself here, but cruising on a sport bike is not fun.....at all. They're not comfortable...and are made to do two things really well. Go fast in the corners and even faster in the straights. That being said, there are riders on here with cruisers who aren't into riding like it was the Moto GP. You could always post up and see who is interested in getting together. But, like I said before, the majority of riders here have sport bikes so the percentages are not in your favor. That doesn't mean you can't come out and have a good time on an organized ride. We have riders of all skill levels, and some folks feel more comfortable the back of the pack.1 point

Well I'm all for riding your own pace if you don't its a little too dangerous. When I organize a ride I'm not a ride Nazi as long as everyone is being safe. I tell people at the start if you think I'm going too slow go ahead and pass me just make sure its safe to do so. When we get in the curves a ask that everyone goes single file in the twisties so no one feels crowded. I don't wait at every stop sign for the slower riders if there are a lot but I don't make a turn onto another road without the whole group being present. I try not to leave anyone behind but I dont care if people ride ahead when it comes down to it were all adults and people can do as they please. Yes I think a more appropriate place for this should be the rant and rave thread, not the middle of the ride thread. Sorry you can't make it.1 point

I won't be going because of my bike's newest problem, but I do have a rant. OR seems to be the only place where group rides (just from reading the forums) still get separated into those who like to ride fast and then everybody else. Aren't all inclusive group rides supposed to be an enjoyable ride for everyone to ride together? If you want to ride fast, then just organize a ride with people who like to ride fast. From reading other threads, it seems like every opportunity to get together is a dick measuring contest. I'll be honest and admit that it makes me second guess going on rides just because I know I will be slower. I wouldn't want to damper anyone's style and ruin their ride because they have to go slower because of me. Last thing I would want to hear once the ride is over is about how so and so wanted to go fast and do twisties, but couldn't because of the cruisers or certain individuals. I'm not sure if people are joking around or if they are serious when they discuss these things. All I know is that it doesn't seem like it would be much fun if not everyone rides at the same pace and enjoys themselves regardless. End of rant. Should this go into rants and raves?1 point

May I ask what highway you were doing a buck and change on? Listen, I agree that that behavior should be saved for the track. I believe that you are a reckless operator and this was not a isolated insident. I would venture a guess that you speed all around and have been lucky thus far not getting popped sooner. Ill venture a guess that this is not your first ticket; just the worst one yet. That being said... I guarantee that all of us are guilty of speeding occasionally. Its just too easy and fun to drop a gear and mash out. Granted some haven't been nearly 60 over the limit but I guarantee we have all ridden to the point of arrestability at some point... IF you got caught on one of those super rare occasions when you screw around for a minute then I'm truely sorry for you. With great power comes great wrist control. Just cause you bike can do 200+ doesn't mean that's what it has to do. By the way if you don't like my opinion then go pound salt. Your on a public forum telling everyone you got a 116 ticket in a 65 on a Busa. This had to be expected.1 point

I'm not reading all this cock swinging bullshit, so let me just say that I have a lot of respect for Roy. He actually built his own car, tuned his own car, and races his car. Only a handful of people on this site can say that, so since Roy wants to talk about it most of you turn into big haters. Personally I'd rather read his threads then some other pointless banter because his actually mention racing and making progress with his car. Now Roy I really don't see the point of starting this thread, but whatever. I'm just glad to see you keep doing what you're doing, fuck the haters.1 point

Why would yoi be doing 116 in a 65? You deserve to lose your license! You want to do 116 go to the race track!1 point
