  1. Those of us who buy and sell guns frequently tend to end up with leftover ammunition that isn't of any use anymore. Although it isn't a bad idea to keep it as the new currency of the apocalypse, I'd prefer to have ammo that can be used now. I thought we could use a spot to work out some trades since there isn't much of a "used" ammo market. Here's what I have to trade: 100 rounds Blazer Brass 180 grain .40 Cal 45 assorted .40 cal hollow point rounds 100 rounds Remington .22WMR 20 rounds American Eagle .223 Here's what I need: 9mm .38 Special .380 .30-30 .308 12 gauge 20 gauge .410 Updated... this ammo is no longer available, but feel free to post up any ammo you wish to trade Feel free to post up your own.... just edit your posts as your haves/needs change.

  2. This past Sunday around dusk I was heading home to dayton from portsmouth and had a hell of a meet and greet with a large doe. I had rode down to portsmouth via OH-73 and was heading back. (A gorgeous road btw.) I was about half way in between Rarden and Ottway, coming out of a real nice positive sweeping curve at 95+ and into a straight stretch when I saw a large doe run across the road about 100 yards(ish) ahead of me. "Oh shit" I thought, after all, when do you ever see just ONE deer? I braked down to the mid 70's and thought the coast was clear, and grabbed the throttle again. Right at that instant the 2nd dreaded deer came shooting out of the brush on my left. I had no time to react, just braced and hit the thing dead center at roughly 75-80 mph. I was immediately thrown off the bike forward, struck the pavement head first, and the proceeded to slide down the road in the opposing lane for about 45 yards. As soon as I stopped sliding I hopped up to my feet, looked down the road to make sure there wasn't any on coming traffic about to splatter me, and saw my CBR still on 2 wheels cruisin down the road still at a considerable speed. I then watched it careen into the left side guard rail. Yes it was a horrible sight. The bottom line here is that my gear saved my life. I was obviously wearing a helmet as well as an icon jacket and gloves. the jacket wore very well, I can't imagine what i would look like if I didn't have it on. All I ended up with was a little rash on my leg and a mild concussion from the impact. In the end I thanked god I was alive and am now beginning the rebuilding process. At least I have all winter!! I hope you enjoyed the thread, Be safe out there! AND WEAR YOUR GEAR!!!

  3. I have never needed my gun while eating dinner at Applebees. I have also never experienced a house fire, guess I'll toss that extinguisher out. Never suffered a heart attack or other cardiovascular problems....guess I can stop working out and eating right. This thread delivered.

  4. It has had to impact on my insurance since it was declared a "no fault" accident. (The trooper that wrote the accident report couldn't determine my speed. I obviously told him 55.) conn-e-rot ninja - I was thinkin about it and I think it would be better off going to another rider in need, I'm not too financially strapped at the moment and I think I'm gonna go with another Icon. I really appreciate your generosity though!

  7. Arming responsible people makes the irresponsible people think twice about committing crime against innocent people, it kinda evens the playing field because criminals will carry even if its illegal. there is no worry about people with a ccw , these people get them for protection not to raise their street credentials. You have a much greater chance of someone with a ccw saving your life in public if a situation would arise than you do someone putting your life in danger with a ccw

  9. I like how on the first post you refer to most ccw people as hillbillys. Hillbillys are not the ones you need to worry about, they only shoot if you come on their land in the middle of the night. Its the thugs and gangsters that will rob and kill you. Its extremely rear that someone would waste the money time and effort to get a ccw just to commit a crime and lose it

  10. If that's the case I have to say in all honesty with no sarcasm that I truely envy you. I hope you and your family live a long and peaceful life. I hope you never experience how basely evil man can be. My chance at a life like yours was taken from me long ago. I live my out in public life according to Mattisism#1. "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet. ~General "Maddog" Mattis. I'm not talking shit or being a hardass. But for folks that have been through hell, let me tell you, hell changes you.

  11. One of my favorites. G/L Shanton, This car has proved itself on the streets as FAST and RELIABLE. Free BUMP someone would be STUPID to not purchase this. Also AVERAGE auction money on this car with 100,000 K is about 6,000!!

  12. All this talk about rediculous insurance rates makes me wanna call up my carrier and thank them. Full coverage on my T/A and liability/under/uninsured/property damage on my dually with a $500.00 deductible is $207.00 every six months. Gotta love a clean driving record and a CDL.
