  1. Greetings ! Finally my account is approved So, I'm new here so please take it easy on me. I know several individuals in RL from autoxes, drift events, Clay's Cars and Coffee, and probably even a few car shows. Per one mod's request, here are a couple pictures of my trusty daily driver. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/2003BlackZ06/2003%20Red%20Silverado/DSC08171-2.jpg

  2. Hi everyone, My name is Ray. I've already met a few of you out at Doc's place and I have a few mutual friends that have been telling me to join so here I am. A little bit about me, I drive a 99 F250 super duty with the Triton V10 gas motor. The motor is stock other than an intake and exhaust. The only other mods on the truck relate to appearance and car audio. The truck is lifted a few inches currently sitting on 33's (needs bigger tires) overall the truck is a blast to drive, I also have a 2000 ford ranger awaiting a engine swap (not sure which motor yet, but it will be fun when it's done) I figured I'd join here to meet a few car guys. I only have one picture to provide at the moment as my cell phone just died, I can post up more pictures later if need be. Here is a picture of my f250 when I went out to Pennsylvania to pick it up, It's went through some changes since. http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/2748/67339154913808337810828.jpg If you have any questions for me ask away. Thanks, Ray.

  6. I see you are in Cleveland. Go to Stonewall Range in Brecksville and drop down 10 bucks and rent something. Then rent every other gun they have or most of them. They will be 2 bucks a piece after the first one. Then get the one that feels best in your hand, you will know it when you feel it. General rule of thumb is get the biggest caliber weapon you are comfortable shooting and you will be comfortable carrying. That might be a 9, it might be a 45. It might be a Glock or it might be a Springfield XD....no one knows. But you will when you pull the trigger. I suggest early in the morning on a weekend, they get super packed in the afternoons and evenings.

  7. Buy an M&PC in 9mm or 40cal and be done... Shoot all day at the range, put in holster and good to go for carry weapon.

  10. Thanks for the kind words. Your hangout is pretty impressive. That's probably not going to happen, it's just a 2wd ranger, so I'll probably drop something in that makes it go faster. I see what you did there.

  13. Ok, sorry guys. As being an aircraft mechanic for the last 15 years I can tell you one of the most dangerous things in my career field is a spinning prop. Mechanics and ground personnel walk into them more often than you would imagine. The biggest problem is that when a prop is spinning they are almost invisible. Even when the engine is at idle speed they are hard to see, especially from the rear where they are painted a solid flat black color. The front of the blades are usually a light grey with white stripes towards the tips to break up the image and make them more visible but they are still not easy to see. That is why anybody properly trained always walks behind a prop aircraft when possible to get from one side to the other. It may be windy but you avoid the dangerous bits.
