  1. Hello Columbus Racing. I've been living in Columbus for a few years and know at least a couple people on this forum, so I figured I'd finally get around to joining. My daily driver is a 91 Toyota MR2. It has a 95 engine and transaxle, an upgraded turbo setup, AEM EMS standalone, Kaaz LSD, and the supporting mods. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s471/shinydeluxe/img_0388s_crop.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s471/shinydeluxe/img_1175s.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s471/shinydeluxe/dyno_mar2011.png http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s471/shinydeluxe/aem_051111_snap1_crop.png Most recently it is having a V6 swapped in, probably(still figuring out details) w/ a 62-1 T4 F1-65 0.96 A/R turbo and an E85 tune. The car will continue to retain its stock exterior. I like any car that is entertaining to drive, regardless of who makes it or how much power it has. Looking forward to seeing some details about some of the other cool cars I see around Columbus.

  2. so you DO require a specific "TYPE" of bike, just not a particular "BRAND" of bike... You want bikes that look like they were the pinnacle of engineering in 1937, not bikes that are designed to perform and compete, or that have had a major design upgrade, you know in say the past 60 years... You've stated that you discriminate based on arbitrary engine displacement volume, regardless of power output... Do you also discriminate against dual sports, standards, streetfighters, sumos and long tourers? Or is it just things that look like sport bikes?

  4. Thanks for the welcome, everybody. The V6 is a 1MZFE without VVTI. It will be lighter than the 3SGTE it's replacing and yield better transient response at similar peak power levels. Indeed the 2GRFE is becoming a popular swap, as it offers more displacement and power than the 1MZFE on the stock ECU. On boost they should have similar power potential. I decided against it because it is a more complicated/expensive swap and would be more difficult to control with the AEM EMS.

  5. This has possibilities. Shitty: I've got girl with a flat tire on 23, needs mech van. Cheech: Cool. Is she hot? S: Not really. C: Tell her to walk. Base out.

  7. Yup, we are back on. Gained a needed sponsor and we are racing the full season. It's a pretty great deal and we will have an even stronger program this season than last year. Stay tuned!!

  12. Whats up all .. My name is Ken, currently driving a 02 svt lightning. The color is "true blue" currently has 26000 miles on it. It's completely bone stock (nonetheless a pretty fast f'ing truck) but I have big plans for it, which is why I wanted to join a solid, local car forum. I've lived in Columbus for 10+ years and prior to the lightning I owned a 2001 Toyota slowlara :grin2:. I have friends that are on this site and referred me over here, they said I'd be an idiot not join. so just wanted to delete my n00b status and say hey.. Any other lightning owners, what up, and I look forward to talking with everyone. http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/1921/imag0056pd.jpg
