  3. I just dont see it when they say the job market is improving. I still see more people getting laid off/fired than i do people getting jobs. I think the stats are full of crap.

  5. I got promoted at my workplace, the bosses have seen my tattoos, they've been visible during the workday. They may not like them but not once have I been asked to cover them. There's been a few drivers with visible tattoos, they've not been asked to cover them either. Even after one driver, white with full sleeves, tatted legs, shaved head delivered to an all black school....the school saw him in the hallways with our product, they got suspicious of him. They put the school on lock down and called our company to verify he was one of our drivers. Funniest damn thing ever!!! I would have thought we would be asked to cover all tattoos after that incident but nope we kept sending him back, in shorts and short sleeved shirts

  6. Sorry to here about the layoffs. My company TQL is hiring and just to be clear I get no benefits for referrals. We are having another Open House today 10-1 where you can see the office, meet the office leaders and grab a snack or two. I truly enjoy working here. Head over to the job board I have a thread there.

  8. Sorry to hear all the bad luck:( Life happens though. Remember to be thankful for what you have. I had a similar situation. Quite a while back, the wife and I both made good money. We also spent good money. One day I decided I needed a new full size truck. Bought a brand new Silverado. All was well, we could afford it, with both our checks. Next day, she gets fired for some BS reason. Couldn't even file for unemployment, because she had been fired. Tough finances for a little while. We got by. Then some major health issues in our family put everything into perspective. Once again we made it through. I like to think we are stronger for the trials we have endured. Hang in there!

  11. Personally, I don't see any difference ( by definition ) between tattooing or piercing or circumcision, other than 2 of the 3 are more socially acceptable ( within reason ) in this day and age. Seems the stereotypical judgement casted on tats is trashy, moreso than piercings.....so be it, women have enabled ear piercings in becoming a higher-class standard for self mutilation to where we almost expect it on females no matter where we are. But, imo a guy with jewelry in his face/head is asking to bleed profusely in a fight.....and it's not something I find man-like in the least, I choose to decorate myself under the skin with real and true-to-self meaning.....my choice, and to each their own. I agree that the child is her's to raise as she sees fit ( as long as it's within the guidelines of the law ) but I also understand that idiotic parents tend to get away with some dumb shit where their children are concerned. Would I have my child tattooed? Never. Did I allow my teenage daughter to get a tattoo when she approached my wife and I about it? No way in Hell, she can wait until she's 18 like I had to. The biggest point here is that this lady has publicly proven herself a water-headed buffoon that is worth her weight in entertainment value for the rest of the morally educated population:nono:

  14. Sorry for your luck, BUT be thankful that you've planned well, and aren't in debt up to your eyeballs. Be thankful that you've set that money aside and aren't living check to check. A rainy day fund (aka some savings) is a wonderful thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Geg6_-3jPzI

  15. I think there's a local traffic law that states when you start driving here, the first thing you need to do is break off your turn signal indicator control. I could be wrong.

  17. Dang guys, really sorry to hear all of that. I know with the cuts my employer announced, my wife and I have been discussing options if it were to happen already. Kinda a CYA sort of thinking. And I do know all about getting 1 step ahead to have 2 steps back, sucks. Jason, at least she has a few days to just clear her mind and be around good friends etc.
