  1. I try to be courteous, but if I'm already doing 10 over and actively passing people, I'm not getting stuck in the right lane just so you can do 20 over. It's a passing lane. If I'm passing, stay off my ass. I will move right when it's appropriate.

  3. Very cool bike. People really under estamate little motorcycles. My 250 is far more fun than any liter bike I've ridden

  4. Like everyone else said, weight won't matter much except when you're moving it around the garage. It only feels heavy when your legs are pushing it. Under power, it's just like riding your bike with an obese passenger.

  5. You won't have any problems. The H-Ds are pretty low seat height and carry their weight well. Even slow speed maneuvers in a parking lot are as easy as your lighter--but taller--Versys. They're quite pleasant to ride at a relaxed pace. Main difference is the clearance when cornering. Foot boards/pegs/pipes/primary case all drag at more extreme lean angles, so don't overcook any corners. Oh, and get used to short shifting. Low redline but prodigious torque numbers from 1200-1500 RPM means shift early and then cruise around town in 3rd or 4th with only an occasional downshift needed in traffic. Most stock motors, unless they've been modded, run out of breath at much over 4500 RPM, making wringing their necks an exercise in futility.

  8. Something completely different, but hear me out. Get a mid-2000s Mercedes S Class. They should be right in your price range at this point with 100k miles give or take. The steepest part of the depreciation curve will be behind them, so you should get decent value in terms of your lifetime cost of ownership. Components are over engineered and reliable. The 5.5L v8 will actually get close to 25mpg highway on the model years after they introduced vvt. But the real reason to get one is to avoid hating life during your commute and road trips. I will never spend another winter commuting in a shit box. Even 10 year old models have more creature comforts than something like an Accord. Everything about the interior is inviting and done right. ZERO wind noise. 0-60 in a 4.5. What's not to like? Did I mention my wife has a 2007 S Class were getting ready to sell?
