  3. Unfortunately, I don't know much about that brand of gear so I can't help you out there. I really like my REV'IT gear. I'm short but busty and a lot of ladies jackets seem to be too tight in the shoulder/chest area but the REV'IT gear works well for me. I like the stretch panels that are being incorporated into many jackets. They help out a lot with providing a better fit. The Alpinestars gear for ladies has also significantly improved in the fit department as well. It seems their earlier gear was just taking their men's gear and shrinking it without much thought to where they made it smaller. Very few jackets come with good back protectors so you will want to look into a replacement for almost any jacket you buy. Look for hard armor in the knees for pants. I have these boots (men's version as they didn't offer ladies when I bought them - thankfully they offered some pretty small sizes Anyway, I like them a lot. They are very comfortable and offer great protection. http://www.cyclegear.com/ALPINESTARS-Womens-Stella-SMX-1-Motorcycle-Boots Whatever you decide, sizing will be your biggest challenge. There is zero consistency in sizing across the brands. My best suggestion is to either find a shop where you can try stuff on or read the reviews. Many women leave their measurements (height/weight) in the reviews to help others out with sizing. It's good you are seeking the gear out as honestly, riding level aggressiveness doesn't have much to do with the need for safety gear. Good luck with your purchase!! Mary

  4. http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2014-Ducati-MultiStrada%201200GT-114844701 This one is almost 5K off msrp. Proly could cook a fly and ride for spring. I'm in Atlanta now. 98 bucks for a round trip ticket. These are advertised bikes. I bet there are other dealers with similar deals or even better that don't advertise. NinjaDoc got a smoking deal by shopping around. Good luck in your quest.

  5. If you have your sights set on a Multistrada do a nationwide search on cycle trader. There are a couple bargains if you are willing to travel, don't mind a leftover and have the cash to pull the trigger. http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2014-Ducati-Multistrada%201200%20S%20Pikes%20Peak-116332942 Don't think you would be happy with an FJ09. Pretty nice engine. The rest did not impress me. Rode one twice. Ergos almost just like my VStrom. Defiantly not worth 8K more than I have in my VStrom.

  6. Ah yes I forgot how big a boy you are, you would likely be cramped on the FJ-09. This is pretty bad ass........and sexy. http://www.motoguzzi-us.com/motorcycles/norge-gt-8v.html

  7. We got to Route 62 all the time. We is racing the indoor series that you posted. Not sure if he will be ready to take the KTM out on a race yet but he has been on it most days in the yard.

  8. I take big trips and many times am far away from home and dealers I trust, so yeah it matters to me personally. I don't trust bikes from Europe "period", so I reckon that is another bug up my ass. LOL Some great choices out there for all of us, but I could never throw a lot of coin at a bike I don't fully trust to ride anywhere and everywhere. High maintenance European super models, they look damn good and are stacked with much sex appeal and really put out until they all of a sudden stop doing so for many times stupid reasons. I work on my own bikes for almost anything, but I like knowing I have the option of accessible dealer support if I am in a pinch. For those that only ride local or are looking to do track days, then the gourmet bikes are a fabulous choice. Don't get me wrong and think I would never own one, it's just that I could not have a super model as my primary bike. If it has 2 wheels I like it, we all obviously have different tastes and desires in the bikes we like and own.

  9. ...but I suspect they're still just going to walk that owner through the lost title application process. When he says "I didn't get a title with it when I bought it," then what? They need the name of the prior seller, and they will keep hunting until you get back to a recorded (registered) owner. Tracking those people down is a huge pain.

  10. My wife surely has me pegged. I reached a moment of clarity in my bike search. All the electronics aren't equating to be as much of a need as I'd thought them to be, at least at this point in my life. My compulsive nature to research and learn all I can about the bikes I considered has bought me enough time to finally come back down to Earth. She would've supported me in virtually any purchase I'd want, but the $20k+ pricetags kept my eyes to the internet trying to ensure I wasn't making a gravely expensive mistake....and that seems to have paid off in the long run. I'm going to check out a near new condition 2011 Triumph Sprint GT tomorrow or Tuesday. Since resetting my WANTS vs NEEDS in a bike, I think I've found all that I'm after in the sporty triple tourer. The triple is said to be the perfect mate between twin torque and inline power. 1050cc has plenty, the mileage isn't hateful, seating position is on par with what I'm after, the luggage is of high quality and bigger than most other bikes, instrumentation is more than adequate and shows me all I need, the only missing piece is cruise - but throttle locks are abundant and cheap enough. They are sort of a rarety compared to other bikes so there's not a ton of aftermarket availability here in the states. Not a bad thing, it will keep me from getting too farkle happy. I skimmed right past these in my initial searches because they closed the market on them here years ago, and I was so hung up on a new bike. But now that my brain is thinking on a practical playing field again, I believe I can enjoy one of these for years to come. I'll post up my findings after I get my eyes and ass on this thing, but I can imagine a deal being struck on it...depending on the dealer's willingness to play ball

  11. Another public track I should have mentioned is Rt 62 MX over in Matinsburg. They have a winter indoor series for small bikes with nothing larger then 85's. In the summer they have a nice outdoor track and this past summer they had a special race weekend for small bikes.
